Baby Gear

Today we received our stroller attachment for our carseat, a gift from Matt's parents and our pack-n-play, a gift from a family here in Moultrie.  Of course, I was extremely excited and I put them together immediately.  Even though we have lots of baby clothes, diapers, etc, all those small things are put into drawers and organized nicely.  You have to look for them if you want to find them.  But having these larger objects sitting in our living room is really making me realize just how close we are to having the little dude here with us.  It does produce a bit of anxiety, especially on my part.  But, I just blame my occasional freak-out on pregnancy hormones.   And, at least at this point, we have all the essentials.

Our house is still being renovated, and as much as people are saying that we are going to be moved before the baby gets here, Matt and I are not stressing about it.  The house will be great when it's done, but there is a good chance it will be done a few weeks post baby as opposed to before.  So, we aren't decorating a nursery in the traditional sense.  Instead, we plan on using the pack-n-play as a bassinet in our room for the first little bit and we will decorate the baby's room in the new house with all the traditional nursery stuff.  We do have a 2nd bedroom here, so the dresser/changing table is in there and has most of his clothes and supplies in it.  We purchased our crib and a glider but we are going to wait until we move to have them delivered.  We figure he won't know the difference.

  1. Way to be cool, calm, and collected about moving and having a baby all at once!
